Amit Basole

Amit Basole is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics at Bucknell University. He holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, The title of the dissertation was "Knowledge, Gender, and Production Relations in India's Informal Economy." His principal fields of concentration are Development, Political Economy and Gender, with a secondary emphasis on History of Economic Thought. He holds a previous PhD in Neurobiology from Duke University (Durham, NC). He switched fields in 2005, after becoming interested in problems of economic development.
