Rebecca Gordon Nesbitt
Having worked with Maria
Lind and Hans Ulrich Obrist to establish salon3 in London in 1998 as
a space for international exchange, Rebecca Gordon Nesbitt was
appointed as a curator at the Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art
(NIFCA) in Helsinki, where she initiated projects with artists from
the Nordic region, the UK and Ireland. Increasingly disturbed by the
'new world order', she receded from direct participation to
concentrate on research into the infrastructure of the art world, its
institutions and economies. In parallel to these investigations, she
has been developing a body of fiction which has been published in art
catalogues and (under a pseudonym) in literary publications. She is
currently working on her first novel.

Nakon rada sa Marijom Lind i Hans Ulrih Obristom na uspostavljanju salon3 u Londonu 1998. kao prostora za međunarodnu razmenu, Rebeka Gordon Nesbit je postavljena za kustosa na Nordijskom institutu za savremenu umetnost (NIFCA) u Helsinkiju, gde je inicirala projekte sa umetnicima iz nordijskog regiona, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva i Irske. Sve više uznemirena 'novim svetskim poretkom', povukla se iz direktnog učešća da bi se skoncentrisala na istraživanje infrastrukture sveta umetnosti, njegovih institucija i ekonomije. Uporedo sa ovim istraživanjem, razvijala je fiktivno telo koje je bilo objavljeno u umetničkim katalozima i (pod pseudonimom) u književnim publikacijama. Trenutno radi na svom prvom romanu.
